Our Story
A Brother’s Legacy
At Laud Property Management, everything we do is rooted in a story of family, leadership, and purpose.
My late younger brother was a humble, honorable man who achieved the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army. As a company commander, he always led from the front — putting his soldiers first and living with quiet strength. One of my greatest memories is a hike we shared, when he picked up a rock, carved the Fehu symbol into it, and told me its meaning: it’s the Viking rune for wealth.
He handed me that rock and said he wanted me to be wealthy — not just in money, but in life, values, and spirit.
That rock stayed in my jacket pocket for years as a subtle, daily reminder to keep moving forward. Today, it sits on my desk, still inspiring me to grow with purpose and integrity.
The Meaning of Fehu
The Fehu symbol has become the heart of Laud Property Management.
It represents my brother’s wish for me — and the promise I make to every client we serve.
True wealth isn’t just measured in dollars; it’s built by creating real value for others.
In property management, that means:
- Protecting your assets with care and professionalism
- Maintaining your properties to the highest standards
- Placing quality tenants
- Acting quickly and decisively when issues arise
- Communicating openly and holding ourselves accountable at every step
At Laud Property Management, your success becomes part of our story.
Business Is Personal
The phrase “it’s not personal, it’s just business” has never sat well with me.
I believe business is absolutely personal. It’s about building real relationships and developing trust to improve the position of everyone involved.
That means making the right decisions — even when they’re hard. Sometimes that means not renewing a lease or initiating an eviction. It’s never easy, but it helps no one to avoid accountability. Property management requires fairness, consistency, and the willingness to act in the best interest of both the property and the broader community.
Years ago, I inherited a tenant couple with a difficult history. Over time, issues kept piling up — missed payments, complaints, and broken promises. I made the difficult decision not to renew their lease. Before it ended, an incident escalated to the point that police had to get involved, and one of the tenants was arrested for a felony. I acted quickly to protect the property and limit the fallout. What I didn’t expect was what happened years later: I ran into the same tenant in a store, and she thanked me — not out of sarcasm or resentment, but genuine appreciation. She told me that being forced to leave gave her the space she needed to escape a damaging relationship and start over.
Moments like that remind me why responsible property management matters. It’s not just about rent checks — it’s about protecting assets, futures, and opportunities for growth for all involved.
Our Promise to You
We’re committed to placing high-quality, financially qualified tenants — but we also understand that life changes.
